As we all know, Mount Everest is the highest point on Earth. What about the deepest/lowest point on Earth? To get to the deepest point, it goes all the way to the bottom of the ocean. It is located on the floor of Pacific Ocean, next to Japan, at the Southern end of Marina Trench, plunges to 10,924 meters deep. With this depth, it becomes the darkest spot where no sunlight could enter at all. You would be expecting no living creatures could survive under complete darkness and such high pressure. However, it was proven that some microbes rely on chemicals, such as xenophyophores, amphipods and small sea cucumbers (holothurians).

Hailstorm is a storm that is full of hailstones, they are hard balls of ice that fall from the sky. It is formed when drops of water freeze together in the cold upper regions of thunderstorm clouds, when the frozen droplet is about to fall down from a cloud during the storm, it is being pushed back up to the cloud by a strong updraft wind. Then more waterdrops attaching to the hailstorm, therefore adding more and more layers to it. When a hailstone is too heavy for a cloud or updraft wind to hold, it falls from the sky. Hailstorm can be very dangerous and cause extreme damages to buildings and houses. During a severe hailstorm, it could kill hundreds of people. Although hailstone could be as small as peas, it could be as big as a tennis ball! The World's biggest hailstone by far is approximately 16cm (San Antonio, US, 2021), Luckily it didn't hit anyone but that was a massive hailstone!
