Karley Sessoms
Licensed Educator and Entrepreneur for 21st Century Life and Career Skills
Karley Sessoms is a Licensed Educator for the District of Columbia Public Schools and an Entrepreneur who owns and operates 21st Century Life & Career Skills educational enrichment companies. Ms. Sessoms has experience working in the private, public, university and k-12 settings with over 10 years of business and management executive experience, and 5 years of start-up experience. Ms. Sessoms also has over 5 years classroom teaching experience and is a certified teacher of English Language Learners (ELL.) Ms. Sessoms is passionate about education and believes that a child’s inquisitive and entrepreneurial instinct should be fostered early and often through opportunities that expand their imaginations. During her entrepreneurial journey, she has started companies that both emphasize entrepreneurship development and science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) initiatives. Ms. Sessoms believes in equity and access, reaching all students and encouraging exceptional learners. Ms. Sessoms spent 5 years serving as the Deputy Principal Assistant to the Cabinet Secretary for the Delaware State Economic Development Office. During her tenure, she was responsible for leading the effort for the state’s first Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, managing all small business and entrepreneurship development programs, and served as the primary liaison for all public-private economic development initiatives. Ms. Sessoms earned a master’s degree in Public Policy & Administration from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in Business Administration from Ohio University.

In this 4-week online course, we offer 2 live training sessions by specialists in addition to the asynchronous curriculum provided by CTD.
